We highly recommend mounting our shelf into the studs. When it is not possible, please use drywall anchors. We DO NOT provide drywall anchors. The amount of weight a floating shelf can hold varies depending on the quality of installation, the structure of the wall the shelf is attached to, the size of the shelf, and how the weight is distributed. Your shelf will always be strongest when attached directly to wall studs.
